Today, December 31 marks the birthday of two of the most popular actors in Nollywood, Femi Adebayo and Odunlade Adekola.

No doubt the top two actors in the Yoruba sector of the Nigerian movie industry, the duo have over the years paid their dues as fantastic role interpreters.

Femi Adebayo is a trained lawyer who ventured into the movie industry at an early age which was influenced by his dad, Adebayo Salami (Oga Bello). In 1995, he got his first major role to star in Tade Ogidan’s ‘Owo Blow’ which fetched him award nominations.

Femi later returned to school where he bagged his Law degree from the University of Ilorin. He also has a Masters in Theatre Arts.

He became one of the biggest Yoruba actor, after producing and staring as lead act in the movie, ‘Jelili’.

Odunlade Adekola on the other hand might have not been born into a movie family but he has over the years been able to prove his mettle with his talent.

Born on December 31, 1977 in Abeokuta, Odunlade also embraced acting at an early age. He was a member of his church’s drama club even before becoming a teenager.

Today Odunlade Adekola like Femi Adebayo is a household name and has featured in numerous movies and won several awards.

Odunlade recently welcomed his 4^th son with his wife of many years, Ruth.

Femi Adebayo on the other hand is a single father of 3 kids after divorcing his ex-wife years ago.

These two actors and their profiles proves that one can take one of the many paths to success so far one is dedicated, committed, and talented.
