While we rant about the marriages collapsing every day, it is important that we also celebrate couples that give us reasons to fall in love day after day. We’ve come up with a list of couples that give us reasons to fall in love. This list is in no particular order.

 

1. Joke Silva and Olu Jacobs

This power couple has been together since 1981 and there has been no going back since they took their marital vows.This veteran couple gives us hope that love still exists. Their marriage has been and is still scandal-free.

2. Mary Njoku and Jason Njoku

For this couple, the saying ‘be a boss, date a boss and marry a boss’ is very relevant. Jason is the owner of Iroko TV, the largest online platform for Nollywood movie and TV series while Mary is the owner of ROK studio, a Nollywood production company.  In 2016, Mary launched ROK TV which airs Nollywood movies on DSTV and on Sky channel in the UK. Their busy lives don’t affect their marriage as they are a team and they have been together for over seven years.

 

3. Omotola Jalade- and Matthew Ekeinde

This couple have been serving couple goals for over twenty years. The captain who is not in the industry understands what the industry entails. According to reports, most celebrity marriages crash because one doesn’t understand that the show-biz thing is very tasking. Along with his busy schedule as an airline pilot, it is admirable that the lovebirds have found a way that works for them, twenty years strong.

 

 

4. Omoni and Nnamdi Oboli

The urban legend that couples start to look alike after being together for years seems true in this case. Omoni and her husband most certainly do look like siblings. She always let it be known that he always supports her career and sixteen years after their wedding, they still look like lovestruck teenagers. We love this love.

 

5. Mercy Johnson and Prince Okojie

Who wouldn’t want to fall in love after watching Mercy and her husband? At first, there were controversies about Mercy Johnson being a second wife and the fact that Prince was still married to his first wife. Three children later, the Okojies do not look like they’re bored with each other at all!

 

6. Maureen and Blossom Chukwujekwu

Mama Red and her actor husband are goals every day. We love her energy and the way they gush about each other on social media. We are aware that everything you see on social media might not be real, but you have to give it up for these two.

 

Adesua Etomi and Banky W

This two shook the country with their secret engagement last year, we never expected it! We loved their chemistry and we were hoping they will hit off things pretty soon, but they helped us hasten things up as their wedding last year made rounds on the internet. We love Adesua and Banky and the name Mrs Wellington is super cool too.
