#ThrowBack: Happy Birthday Genevieve! Watch Music Video ‘No More’ During Her Stint As A Musician

As Nigeria’s superstar actress Genevieve Nnaji turns 39 today, not many people, especially millennials have the knowledge that the screen goddess once tried to venture into music.

Sometime in 2004, Genevieve was among 8 A-list actors considered the G8 of the movie industry who were banned by filmmakers because they were charging what was termed exorbitant fees. Others were Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, Stella Damasus, Ramsey Nouah, Richard Mofe Damijo, Emeka Ike, Nkem Owoh and Jim Iyke.

So in 2004, Genevieve Nnaji then relocated to Ghana whilst there decided to exploit her music talent side by venturing to become a recording artiste.  She was able to come up with an album titled ‘One Logologo Line‘ and released by Ghanaian EKB Records. The album didn’t get the success the actress’ movies typically do and in later years, even she would come out to say it was a decision by her team that in hindsight wasn’t necessarily the best.

Still, the fact that she attempted to be a music artiste is a testament to her star power. Today she still is a STAR!

In the spirit of throwback Thursday, enjoy  ‘NO MORE’, the 6th track off the ‘One Logologo Line’ album.
