Previously, NET posted the names of movie stars and celebrities who were conspicuously missing at the just concluded AMVCA and Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe was part of the list.

However, Mercy Aigbe has an answer for all who may be wondering why she was absent and has revealed on her Instagram page, her ‘reason’ for being absent at the ceremony. She explained, posting a picture of a fan asking .”….and where is Mercy Aigbe (the queen slayer)”

Her response to the fan’s inquiry went thus:

“Awww I am not even gonna pretend that I didn’t see all the Comments, all the tags, all the plenty DMs, I feel so loved 😭😁😁😁 I was stuck on set, filming the Series ‘Palaver’ directed by @desmondelliot…. pain me sha! But the show had to go on!!!!!!!….. Super proud of all the DIVAS that graced the red carpet, they all looked magnificent…. Congrats once again to all the winners and all the Nominess……Next year is almost here! And by God’s Grace we all will live to witness it!!!!…Thank you all for the love ❤️ ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I love each and everyone of you 💋💋💋💋💋 #amvca2018 ”
