FUPRE student arrested for Robbery while witneess say he was in the hostel that night sleeping

FUPRE is federal university of petroleum resources, it is situated in warri delta state, established i 2007 with the vision to development man power and skills required for the oil and gas sector.

The irony of the matter is that the reverse is the case as students are being mistreated and maltreated by both host community and the members of staff. The latest is that about 2am on thursday morning 27/8/2015 our boys hostel in ebrumede was robbed and laptops and phone were stolen with students left injured.

The worst is that on top of this a student that woke up to join the search party that went in search of things hoping to recover some was arrested and since yesterday and is still the ebrumede police station till now. we have written statement and it is clear this student is innocent yet the inspector wants us (students) to pay for his release we were able to get the sum of five thousand naira which was rejected. my pain is that the school management has decided to abandon this poor, innocent student to rot in the cell. please this is a cry or help. thanks
