- Like Afeez Oyetoro also known as Saka, Ojopagogo hails from Iseyin in Oyo state.
- He is married to Moji Afolayan who is the elder sister of filmmaker, Kunle Afolayan, Aremu and Gabriel Afrolayan.
- Ojopagogo shares the same birthday date with his in-law, Kunle Afolayan, who also celebrates his birthday today.
- In 2013, Ojopagogo celebrates 30 years on stage making him one of the oldest in the industry .
- He is based in Ibadan, Oyo state and only comes to Lagos when he has movie projects.
- He got his stage name, Ojopagogo during a stage play titled Ola Abata in 1986. The play which had the Alaafin of Oyo in attendance was staged by the Labake Theatre which the actor once worked with.
- Ojopagogo also doubles as a musician. He dropped two singles, Iseyin and Olaniyanu in March, 2015. He has also been responsible for several sound tracks in movies.
- In July 2013, Ojopagogo’s teenage daughter, Damilola Olayiwola got missing while on her way to Ibadan from Oyo town. She was however found a few days later.
