He rocked a pair of black trainers as he hiked back to a car carrying a paper bag alongside a pal, who was also wearing sports gear.

Sam has been staying in California since his surprise guest appearance with Disclosure during their Coachella set on Sunday night.

The UK production duo played the last night of the festival's first weekend, with Lorde lending her vocals for a rendition of their collaboration 'Magnets' and Sam coming onstage for 'Latch' and 'Omen'.

The star's recent impressive weight loss may have helped him land a trendy new boyfriend in the form of British male model, Jay Camilleri, who has spoken out on the new couple's relationship this month.

Sam, who no longer eats gluten, dairy or refined sugar, said: 'I'm just not eating like a pig any more. That's basically it!'

A source has told The Sun: 'Sam is one of the biggest stars in the world and looks incredible right now.

'It's only natural he's going to have interest from the hottest available men.'
