Veteran actor, Adebayo Faleti buried in Ibadan
The late playwright, poet and actor, Adebayo Faleti, was laid to rest in his village, in Agboye, Oyo State on Friday, September 8, 2017.
His burial was attended by notable personalities including the Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi, a retired Archbishop of the Methodist Church, Rt. Rev. Ayo Ladigbolu, Nollywood actors, government officials and theatre practitioners.
Born on December 26, 1930, Adebayo Faleti was a renowned theatre practitioner whose career started in 1949.

After founding his own theatre group, Faleti went back to school earn a diploma from the University of Senegal and a degree from the University of Ibadan.
He also had a long television career on the old Western Nigeria Television (now NTA) and the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State.
Faleti died at a ripe age of 86 on July 22, 2017 at the University College Hospital Ibadan (UCH).
The younger generation would know him best for his works on movies such as Saworoide and Thunderbolt.
